Overview – Boot Animation in Windows 11
It seems that your version of Windows 11 appears to be booting with the old boot animation rather than the new one (also called 10X Boot Animation). The improved boot animation is far more visually appealing than the previous one and it seems that Microsoft is incorporating the motion graphics in the Windows interface slowly.
By the end of this article, you’ll be able to enable new boot animation in Windows 11:
Old vs New Boot Animation in Windows 11

1. Enable New Boot Animation via Registry Editor
Step 1: Open the Registry Editor from the Start menu.

Step 2: Navigate to the following path:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control.

Step 3: Right-click the empty area on the right pane and add two new DWORD (32-bit) values, name them as BootControl and BootProgressAnimation.

Step 4: Double-click the key and change its hexadecimal value data from 1 to 0 and click the OK button to save changes.

Step 5: Restart your computer to make changes take effect.

Note: The “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control” path in the registry editor store the records needed to boot the Windows and system-related information including Windows services and system variables (in some cases).
In case you don’t feel comfortable following this method, you can also back up the registry completely before proceeding and restore it to current settings if something goes wrong.
2. Enable New Boot Animation via Pre-Built Registry Settings
Step 1: Download the Boot Animation’s Pre-Built Registry Files.
Step 2: Double-click the registry file and the new boot animation settings will be saved.

Step 3: Restart your computer to make changes take effect.
